Biopulcher has developed a specific intervention for the elimination of industrial bad odors in an animal by-product treatment plant (SANDACH).

The objective: to neutralize the odor emissions originating from the animal remains valorization process, ensuring a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable environment.

Origin of the problem: odor emissions in animal treatment processes

During the industrial process, a separation of fats and proteins is carried out using processing units that melt, dry, and separate the bone remains.

The air coming from these operations is led to a burner, where a pyrolysis process is carried out at high temperatures to eliminate odor emissions.

However, when incomplete combustions occur, part of the extracted air still contains residual odor, generating perceptible olfactory contamination in the environment.

Biopulcher Solution: sustainable technology for odor neutralization

To solve this problem, Biopulcher designed a specific intervention based on its sustainable industrial odor elimination solutions.

In most cases, an ultrasonic injection lance is used to introduce the industrial odor neutralizer directly inside the chimney.

However, in this installation, an alternative technology was chosen due to the thermal conditions of the system.

Implementation of the Biopulcher High Pressure system

The internal temperature of the chimney reaches approximately 400 °C, a temperature higher than the auto-ignition point of conventional odor neutralizers.

Therefore, a Biopulcher High Pressure system was installed, a high-pressure fogging equipment that acts via two stainless steel rings with 15 nozzles, located at the chimney’s outlet.

This method allows the neutralizer product to be dispersed into micro-droplets that instantly react with the odor molecules upon contact with the outside air, guaranteeing effective neutralization without thermal risk.

The result has been a significant reduction in odors emitted to the environment, confirming the effectiveness, sustainability, and safety of Biopulcher technologies in complex industrial processes.

Nebulization

The technology of high-pressure fogging (nebulization) is a very commonly applied technology in the treatment of bad odors that are dispersed in the air. The size of the resulting droplets varies depending on the pressure used, with a range from 10 to 120 microns. This technology allows us to cover large distances, disperse and homogenize the active agents that neutralize and inhibit bad odors gas to gas. Through the use of a programmer (timer), we can optimize the fogging, adjusting the time slots and the start and stop times.

Biodor Control L - (BCL)

Biopulcher BCL is a broad-spectrum odor neutralizer indicated for treating sewage sludge, leachates, industrial processes, containers, septic tanks, synthetic and mineral oils, among others. It is a very powerful and long-lasting odor neutralizer.

The active agents of Biopulcher BCL attack the molecules of ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, putrescine, indole, and skatole, among others.

It can be sprayed on any surface or fogged into the air.
